However, having the logo doesn’t mean that the parts were produced by the company. For example, if the part has a Mercedes logo, it doesn’t mean that the said part was produced by Mercedes. Most of the times, the parts are produced by other companies with the Mercedes logo on them.
There’s a myth surrounding Genuine Spare Parts is that if you don’t replace your faulty or failed parts with Genuine ones, your manufacturer’s warranty will stand null & void. This is not the case at all.

This company is called the Parent Company of the OEM producers.
In most cases, the majority of parts are produced by OEM producers who supply it to a larger Parent Company. Not just small spares, large important parts such as the engine, thermostat, battery etc. are also manufactured by OEM producers. Even wheels, seats, seatbelts etc. are produced by OEM.
OEM products do not have the Parent Company’s logo on them. So, they are cheaper than Genuine Spare Parts which bear the logo of the Parent Company.

Setbacks of OEM Spares and Parts
There is a major setback about using OEM Spare Parts. OEM parts are produced by the original Manufacturers of the product. One naturally thinks that their quality must be impeccable.
